Industrial Cooling Equipment Ltd is a contractor specialising in the following, design, supply, installation, service and maintenance, of commercial and industrial refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, incorporating heat recovery and energy conservation where possible.
Formed in 1935, ICE Ltd is one of the longest standing and most respected names in the refrigeration industry. In 1986, the company was acquired by the American manufacturer, York International Ltd.
1992 brought significant changes to the company as senior management negotiated with York and purchased the company name and certain assets.
Taking advantage of the good name of Industrial Cooling Equipment and their considerable experience in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat recovery, they set out to re-establish the company in its traditional contracting role.
Today, the family run and owned company operate from their 3200sqft headquarters in Runcorn, Cheshire, providing refrigeration and air conditioning to a wide variety of industries and markets both nationally and internationally.
Nick Griffiths
Managing Director
Nick has worked in the Refrigeration and HVAC industry for over 20 years, starting out as an apprentice engineer with Industrial Cooling Equipment in 2001, progressing through to Managing Director in 2011.
Nick’s technical knowledge and determination has been the driving force behind the continued growth of ICE Ltd.
Lee Hopkins
Head of Projects
Lee started in the Refrigeration and HVAC industry in 1993 as a Sales and Contracts Manager. Having joined Industrial Cooling Equipment in 2017, Lee is a valued and key member of the team.
Lee runs our Projects Departments and is responsible for large projects, particularly in the healthcare sector.
Sam Griffiths
Service Supervisor
Starting out as an apprentice engineer with Industrial Cooling Equipment in 2007, progressing through to Service Engineer and then to Service Supervisor.
Sam works on tools and attends to our key customers’ sites to repair and maintain their critical equipment. He also assists other engineers with technical help and training.
Laura Francis
Admin Manager
Laura joined the team in 2016 and is key to the operational efficiency of the company. She is self-motivated and proactive, with an outstanding administrative skillset. Laura and her Admin Team are responsible for implementing systems and workflows, ensuring the smooth running of the business.
Daniel Bush
Project manager
Daniel has over 20 years’ experience in the Refrigeration and HVAC industry and joined Industrial Cooling Equipment in 2011.
As our Project Manager, Daniel runs all our critical and large projects and has been key to the company’s success and growth in recent years.
