Evaporative Cooling System

Inefficient cooling systems are likely to cause higher energy consumption.

For businesses that rely on large-scale cooling like production halls, bakeries, warehouses, and pharmaceutical drug stores, that can be an expensive problem to be avoided.

Evaporative cooling solutions use only water – and no chemical refrigerants – to effectively cool larger spaces that generate high heat loads.

What are Evaporative Cooling Systems?

Evaporative cooling, sometimes known as breeze air systems, cools the air through a water evaporation process.
As mentioned above, no chemical refrigerants are involved, making it an environment-friendly – not to mention cost-effective – option.

If cooling is still needed during the colder ambient months, then the coolers can function on ventilation-only mode to provide ‘free cooling’.

How does Direct Evaporative Cooling Work?

Warm, dry air from outside is drawn through water-soaked cooling pads.
As warm air passes through the pads, water evaporates and the heat is absorbed, lowering the air temperature.

A fan then pushes the cool air through supply ductwork into the space that requires temperature control.
Working in conjunction with an evaporative cooling unit, which brings in only cool fresh air, is an
the apex of a building, removing hot stale air.

Benefits of Evaporative Cooling Systems

Evaporative systems can save you money on running costs compared to conventional DX air conditioning systems because the only power-consuming components are the fan and a water pump.

A comprehensive list of benefits includes:

  • Up to 80 per cent saving on running costs compared to DX air conditioning systems
  • No chemical refrigerants within the system, such as CFCs or HFCs
  • Evaporative cooling systems remove the need to comply with complex, changing refrigerant requirements
  • They only use water and electricity, making them safe and sustainable
  • 100 per cent fresh air radically improves indoor air quality
  • A sustainable, environment-friendly choice
  • Ideal solution for large open spaces
  • Long life expectancy
