Pharmaceutical Services
The products stored and manufactured in pharmaceutical facilities are generally worth millions – choose ICE as your reliable service partner, we’re the experts in this sector.
Warehouse Cooling and Temperature Control
The guidelines for storage of pharmaceutical products within warehouses is 15C to 25C. Particularity for very large warehouses this can be very costly both to install a suitable system and also to run. We always recommend to section off the areas that hold the goods that need to be temperature controlled, because if you can reduce the space that needs to be controlled you will ultimately reduce the cost of the system required to maintain the conditions. There are typically two ways to cool large warehouse spaces: traditional DX systems using AHUs to move conditioned air through either a steel or fabric ducting system, and an evaporative cooling system that uses water and a high turnover of fresh air to cool the building.
Pharmaceutical Cold Stores
Pharmaceutical cold stores typically fall within two temperature ranges of 2C to 8C for chill stores and below -20C for freezers. These rooms are generally mapped using digital chart recorders measuring air temperature. ICE can undertake the design and implementation of the whole turnkey solution of your project, from the building of the insulated enclosure itself and refrigeration systems to maintain the required temperatures, right through to the lighting, man trapped alarms and door automation.

ICE are experienced in this field and will rise to the challenge, responding to breakdowns within specified response times and providing a 24/7/365 on call facility. Our digital maintenance and compliance packs are sent out following each maintenance visit, which contain reports for each asset, a leak check certificate, and a full refrigerant asset list detailing all relevant F gas information. Our reports and packs regularly pass both internal and external audits within the pharmaceutical industry.
