The Problem
As part of an internal refurbishment, a two-storey head office created three new offices within an existing open-plan space — a meeting room and two side offices. These new rooms required air conditioning so they would be fully usable once the fit-out was complete.
Although this was a relatively straightforward installation, there were still practical considerations:
- Pipe runs of approximately 45 metres
- A requirement for a quiet, tidy and reliable solution
- Work taking place within a main office environment
- A clear programme to meet handover dates
- The need for equipment to be added into an existing maintenance contract
The client simply wanted the systems installed correctly, neatly and on time — with no disruption and no issues after occupation.
The Solution
We installed three wall-mounted air conditioning systems to serve the newly formed offices. Due to the length of the pipe runs, Mitsubishi Electric Power Inverter systems were selected to ensure dependable operation.
The focus throughout the installation was on doing the basics properly:
- Clean, orderly pipework runs
- Equipment positioned for practicality and appearance
- Installation coordinated around a live office environment
- Regular communication with site supervisors
- Systems commissioned and checked before handover
On completion, the new systems were added to the client’s existing maintenance asset list and are now covered by a 7-year extended parts warranty, providing reassurance long after installation.
The Outcome
The new offices were handed over with working, reliable air conditioning and no outstanding issues.
The result:
- A tidy, professional installation
- Systems ready for use from day one
- No disruption to the wider office
- Equipment covered by an extended warranty
- Ongoing support already in place
Nothing over-complicated. Nothing rushed. Just a job completed properly.
