There’s a huge shortage of skilled engineers in our industry and an even bigger shortage of engineers who are confident and competent across the wide variety of equipment we serve here at ICE.
To tackle this challenge and continue attracting the very best talent, we’ve developed our Apprenticeship Programme, designed to train, support, and grow the next generation of ICE engineers.
Last week, we were delighted to welcome Owen Davies to the team as our newest Apprentice!
Owen, from Litherland, Liverpool, first came across the opportunity through the Careers section on our new website. He’s already shown himself to be dedicated and hardworking, with a great attitude.
Outside of work, Owen enjoys kickboxing, competing regularly and passing on his skills by teaching juniors.
He’s spent this week out on the road shadowing our Service Engineers at customer sites, getting hands-on experience and learning what life as an ICE engineer is all about.
We’re proud that over 50% of our current engineers began their careers through our Apprenticeship Programme, and we’re excited to see Owen continue that success story.
Welcome aboard, Owen – we’re thrilled to have you with us!
