Industrial Cooling Equipment Ltd is proud to announce that Managing Director Nick Griffiths has been awarded Entrepreneur of the Year at the prestigious Halton Business Awards. The accolade, sponsored by InterGen Rocksavage, was presented during a sold-out gala dinner held at Widnes’s DCBL Stadium.

Now in its fifteenth year, the Halton Business Awards Gala brought together over 500 business leaders and professionals from across the region. This year’s ceremony, supported by returning main sponsor Direct Security Solutions, was hosted for the first time by BBC North West Tonight presenter Roger Johnson, adding a familiar face and lively energy to the evening.

The Entrepreneur of the Year category is one of the event’s most coveted awards, recognising individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership, resilience, and growth in their businesses. Nick Griffiths emerged as the winner in a highly competitive field, which included finalists Ben and Lewis Gibbons (Flair Signs NW Ltd), Dr Kashif Siddiq (Oxford RF), Lyndsey Charnley (Connect Counselling and Supervision Services Ltd), and Nicola Beal (Support at Home).

Speaking after receiving the award, Nick reflected on his journey:

“When I took over in 2011, we had £5,000 in the bank, a looming £12,000 tax bill, and just a few engineers. What I did have was grit, determination, and a vision. It’s nice to get some recognition for the past 15 years of work I’ve put into ICE.”

Under Nick’s leadership, ICE which provides specialist refrigeration and air-conditioning services, has has grown significantly. expanding our client base across the pharmaceutical, food, and manufacturing sectors

The entire team at ICE Ltd is delighted by this recognition of Nick’s hard work, determination, and leadership. His story is not only a personal success but a shining example of what local business leaders can achieve with passion and purpose.
