Free coolers
Free Coolers can be used in conjunction with a water chiller to provide free cooling when the ambient temperature is low enough or as a stand alone system depending on the temperature requirements.
Get in touchFree Cooler or Dry Coolers are finned heat exchangers used to reject heat from process plant cooling systems. A water/glycol mix is pumped around a closed circuit and by using fans to pass ambient air over the finned surfaces, a reduction in temperature is achieved. This process is often referred to as Free Cooling.
Free Coolers are often chosen in preference to wet systems/cooling towers, as they negate the risk of bacterial growth (e.g. Legionella) and require a minimal level of maintenance.
With a choice of control systems and energy-efficient inverter driven EC fans, Dry Coolers come in either V block, flat bed or vertical configuration.
